During the month of November, Stucky Chiropractic Center wanted to give back to the Eau Claire community and held a “Loose Change Competition” to raise money for 2 local charities. The Community Table and Hope Gospel’s Ruth House were the designated beneficiaries of the proceeds.
A container labeled with each of the doctor’s name was in the reception room to collect the loose change. Stucky patients were challenged to drop loose change and small bills into the doctor’s dish that they wanted to win the competition. The doctor with the largest collection was to be exempt from getting a pie in the face. The friendly competition raised close to $600, and Stucky Chiropractic Center matched that number, ultimately leading to a donation of close to $1,200 split between the two charities. Dr. Brian Becker, the clinic’s director, ended up the big winner!
The Community Table donation went to help their Meals-On-Wheels program to increase the number of people they can serve meals to throughout the year. The Hope Gospel’s Ruth House provides housing for women in need and has been at full capacity with a wait list the last several months. The money that Stucky Chiropractic Center raised will help provide both meals and homes for people who need it most.
Thank you to all who donated loose change to raise money for The Community Table and Hope Gospel’s Ruth House! Be sure to watch the doctors get a pie in their face in the video below!
